Businesses & Locations

How to organize your business and its locations in RepOtz. The hierarchy is: Account > Business > Location > Campaign (QR).

A Business covers a company, brand, or individual. You can manage:

  • Name and slug (unique identifier within your account).
  • Logo and brand colors, with preview. The background color styles your public pages (headers, action buttons); the text color applies to titles and labels placed over that color. If you don’t choose a text color, RepOtz automatically applies readable text (light or dark based on your background color).
  • Deletion (soft: recoverable, not immediate destruction).

Depending on your plan, you can manage one or more businesses from the same account (for example up to 10 with the Pro offer).

Two ways to add a business from the Businesses page:

  • Manual add: you enter the name, logo, and colors yourself.
  • Connect a Google Business Profile: you search for and confirm your profile. If your account already contains a business, the assistant first asks if you want to start a new business or update the Google Business Profile of an existing business. On creation, RepOtz automatically generates the business, its location, detected platforms (Google, social networks, contacts), and a default ready-to-use campaign, then takes you to the created campaign. Creation is only possible as long as there is room in your plan; once quota is reached, RepOtz indicates which offer to choose, but updating an existing business remains available. The same Google Business Profile cannot be linked to two businesses in the account.

A Location is attached to a business; it carries the address and contact person:

  • Description (optional): it serves as a Google description for your public platforms page if the campaign doesn’t define one, and from August 21, 2026 it will also be displayed on the page itself (below the campaign phrase when both exist and differ). It counts toward the SEO threshold of the page: at least 150 characters and not just the business name (see the QR codes & campaigns guide). A counter n/300 characters below the field indicates the length that a Google snippet displays in full; beyond that, entry remains possible but the snippet is truncated.
  • Full address with selectable country from a list.
  • Geolocation (latitude/longitude) optional: manual entry or via the “Geocode from address” button (automatic coordinate lookup). If nothing is found, the record is never blocked - the location is saved without coordinates.
  • Contacts (used to generate a vCard) + a contact person (name, phone, email).
  • Email notifications can be enabled/disabled by toggle.

A vCard (digital business card) is downloadable from the location’s public pages: the visitor saves your contact details in one gesture. Its website is the location’s “Website” platform (the location-specific entry takes priority over the business one; without a Website platform, the card has no website). Your platforms page (“where to leave a review”) appears as a link labeled “Digital card”, and geographic coordinates when provided.

Q. What is the difference between a business and a location? A. A business is your brand; a location is a physical address that belongs to it. A business can have multiple locations.

Q. Can I manage multiple businesses? A. Yes, depending on your plan’s limits.

Q. If I delete a business, is it permanent? A. Deletion is soft: the item is removed but recoverable.
