Public collection funnel
The public pages where your customers leave a review or video testimonial. This is the heart of the product.
The 4 funnels
Section titled “The 4 funnels”When a customer scans a QR code or opens a link, they arrive on one of the funnels:
- Full form - the customer rates their experience and can leave their name, email, phone and comment. Routing based on satisfaction, never blocking: a high rating (>= 4) highlights your review platforms; a low rating leads to a thank you page (feedback stays private, so you can respond) which always offers the option to leave a public review anyway.
- Simple (unhappy / happy) - two quick choices (“unhappy” on the left, “happy” on the right). A happy customer is directed to the platforms, and can also choose to write to you privately; an unhappy customer leaves private feedback via a form with the same fields as the full form (comment + name, email, phone based on your settings), so you can contact them back. Their message appears in Internal reviews and triggers the email alert configured for the location. They are then always offered the option to leave a public review if they wish. No funnel traps the customer.
- Platforms - page listing your review platforms. The customer can also save your contact (vCard file) and display the QR code of the page.
- Video testimonial - the customer enters their email and receives a personal recording link by email (valid for 24 hours). From this link, they indicate whether their experience was good or not, then record their video directly in the browser (maximum 2 minutes). Available on the Agency plan.
Share and add to home screen
Section titled “Share and add to home screen”Each page of the funnel offers a share button: the customer shares your page to their social networks (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Messenger, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, email) or copies the link. The shared link (copy and networks) preserves the displayed language: if the funnel is viewed in English or Spanish, the recipient arrives directly in that language; in French, it is the original short link, unchanged. The same menu offers to add the page to the home screen of their phone (iOS / Android instructions, and desktop shortcut), to return to it in one tap; the offered shortcut simply bears the name of the business.
Highlighting platforms (favorites)
Section titled “Highlighting platforms (favorites)”The order in which platforms are displayed is entirely in your hands, per campaign: no platform is highlighted by default. If you choose nothing, all your platforms display directly. If you select and rank favorites, they appear first and the rest is hidden behind a “View all” button; if all your platforms are favorites, the “View all” button does not appear (there is nothing more to show).
Branded and mobile pages
Section titled “Branded and mobile pages”Public pages are 100% in your colors (logo, campaign colors), designed mobile-first and lightweight. They never display the RepOtz brand to the visitor.
On desktop, the funnel displays next to a cover image (the campaign’s, or a default image if you haven’t added one), with a QR code to scan to reopen the same page directly on the phone. On the platforms page, the grid display shows each platform with the icon centered and name below.
Languages
Section titled “Languages”The language is automatically detected based on the visitor’s browser (falls back to English), with a visible selector to switch between FR, EN and ES at any time. The choice is kept throughout the funnel.
Configurable fields
Section titled “Configurable fields”For each campaign, you choose which fields (name, email, phone, comment) are displayed, optional or required.
Form templates
Section titled “Form templates”You choose the layout of your form from templates offered (classic, card, minimal, full color, panorama), with preview. You do not create your own templates; you select one of those offered to you. The full color template displays your public pages on a solid color background (your brand color), with a centered logo and actions placed simply on this background, in a “link page” style. The panorama template displays your cover image full-screen (including on mobile, where it appears in slight fade behind a gradient of your brand color at the top of the page); the content is placed in a clear card and, on desktop, a large QR code (in the color of your campaign QR) is displayed on the photo to open the page on their phone.
- The default template (classic) is available on all plans.
- The other templates (card, minimal, full color, panorama) require a Pro or Agency plan - unless a template has been specifically assigned to you by the team.
Customizable text (Pro and Agency plans)
Section titled “Customizable text (Pro and Agency plans)”On Pro and Agency plans, you can customize the funnel messages (question, thank you, etc.), in your languages (FR/EN/ES). Otherwise, the translated default texts apply. Choosing a non-default template and customizing text fall under the same plan option.
Video testimonials (Agency plan)
Section titled “Video testimonials (Agency plan)”The Video testimonial funnel (the QR of type social_proof) works via email link: when scanned, the customer enters their email and checks the consent box (promotional use rights), then receives a personal recording link valid for 24 hours (conditions are recalled in the email). From this link, they choose happy / unhappy, then record their video directly in the browser: 3-2-1 countdown, maximum 2 minutes (automatic stop), review and ability to restart before sending (progress bar). As long as the link is valid, a new recording replaces the previous one. After sending, a happy customer is directed to your review platforms page; an unhappy customer to the private feedback form of the simple funnel. You are notified by notification and, if the location option is enabled, by email. The video is encoded server-side and a thumbnail is generated. This feature is reserved for the Agency plan.
View your video testimonials
Section titled “View your video testimonials”Received videos are grouped in the dashboard, menu Reviews & campaigns > Video testimonials (/dashboard/testimonials). You watch each video, see the author, the business/location, date and status (ready, processing, pending, failed), with a filter by business. For each testimonial you can download the video or permanently delete it (recording and files are removed). Videos are never public: playback goes through an authenticated stream, reserved to the account owner. The menu entry only appears if your plan includes video testimonials (Agency).
Embed widget (Pro / Agency plans)
Section titled “Embed widget (Pro / Agency plans)”You can integrate a widget (code snippet) on your own site to collect feedback directly. Authorized sites are defined for each widget: you choose the campaign and QR concerned (full form or simple funnel), then the list of sites authorized to embed it; statistics distinguish the “embed” source.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Each time a new review comes in, you can receive an email notification (based on location settings) and a real-time alert, with a strengthened alert for low ratings.
Anti-abuse
Section titled “Anti-abuse”The public forms (full form funnel, video testimonial email step) are protected by an invisible captcha (a visible challenge only appears if uncertain) and by IP address rate limiting. The simple funnel (a single happy / unhappy tap) shows no captcha - a challenge would be disproportionate for a single tap - and relies on IP address rate limiting.
If the subscription is not active
Section titled “If the subscription is not active”Your public collection pages work as long as your account has an active subscription or ongoing trial. When that is no longer the case (trial ended without purchase, subscription expired or canceled, account deactivated after repeated non-payment), they stop collecting and display an unavailability page in your colors: your logo and business name, a message “Service temporarily unavailable” and a “Contact us” button that opens an email to you - without ever mentioning RepOtz or a payment issue, so as not to discredit you. On your end, you keep access to your dashboard and the resolution path: the “Reactivate this plan” button on the Billing page puts everything back online as soon as the purchase is confirmed. In case of simple recurring payment failure, your pages remain online during the dunning period.
Different case: if a campaign has been deleted (or its business/location), its old shared links display the same page in your colors but with the message “This campaign no longer exists” (deleted or moved, with the invitation to contact you for the new link) - and not the inactive service message, which is reserved for accounts without active subscription and for paused QR codes or locations.
Note: The continuity of public pages and behavior in case of non-payment are managed in a controlled way.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Q. Can an unhappy customer still publish a public review? A. Yes, always. The funnel first highlights private feedback for dissatisfaction (so you can respond), but each thank you page offers the option to leave a public review anyway. Conversely, a satisfied customer can also choose to write to you privately. RepOtz never filters reviews based on rating (compliant with Google and FTC rules: no “review gating”).
Q. What language does the page display in for my customer? A. In their browser language (FR/EN/ES), with a selector to change.
Q. Is the widget on my site included in my plan? A. The embed widget is available on Pro and Agency plans.
Q. What does my customer see if my subscription is suspended? A. A neutral page inviting them to contact you, with no mention of RepOtz or payment.
