Public collection funnel

The public pages where your customers leave a review or video testimonial. This is the heart of the product.

When a customer scans a QR code or opens a link, they arrive on one of the funnels:

  • Full form - the customer rates their experience and can leave name, email, phone and comment. Routing based on satisfaction, never blocking: a high rating (≥ 4) highlights your review platforms; a low rating leads to a thank you page (the feedback stays private, allowing you to respond) which always offers, optionally, to leave a public review anyway.
  • Simple (unhappy / happy) - two quick choices (“unhappy” on the left, “happy” on the right). A happy customer is directed to the platforms, and can also choose to write to you privately; an unhappy customer leaves private feedback via a form with the same fields as the full form (comment + name, email, phone based on your configuration), so you can contact them back. Their message appears in Internal reviews and triggers the email alert configured for the Location. They are then always offered the option to leave a public review if they wish. No funnel traps the customer.
  • Platforms - page listing your review platforms. The customer can also save your contact (vCard file) and display the QR code of the page.
  • Video testimonial - the customer enters their email and receives a personal recording link by email (valid for 24 hours). From this link, they indicate whether their experience was good or not, then record their video directly in the browser (2 minutes maximum). Available on the Max plan.

Each page in the funnel offers a share button: the customer shares your page to their social networks (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Messenger, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, email) or copies the link. The shared link (copy and networks) preserves the displayed language: if the funnel is viewed in English or Spanish, the recipient goes directly to that language; in French, it’s the original short link, unchanged. The same menu offers to add the page to their phone’s home screen (iOS / Android instructions, and shortcut on computer), to return to it in one tap; the proposed shortcut simply bears the name of the Business.

The display order of platforms is entirely in your hands, per campaign: no platform is featured by default. If you choose nothing, all your platforms display directly. If you select and rank favorites, they appear first and the rest goes behind a “See all” button; if all your platforms are favorites, the “See all” button does not appear (there is nothing more to show).

Public pages are 100% in your colors (logo, campaign colors), designed mobile-first and lightweight. They never display the RepOtz brand to the visitor.

On computer, the funnel displays alongside a cover image (from the campaign, or a default image if you haven’t set one), with a QR code to scan to reopen the same page directly on the phone. On the platforms page, the grid display presents each platform with the centered icon and name below.

Language is automatically detected based on the visitor’s browser (fallback to English), with a visible selector to switch between FR, EN and ES at any time. The choice is preserved throughout the funnel.

For each campaign, you choose which fields (name, email, phone, comment) are displayed, optional or required.

You choose your form layout from templates offered (classic, card, minimal, full color, panorama), with preview. You do not create your own templates; you select one of those offered to you. The full color template displays your public pages on a solid color background (your brand color), with a centered logo and actions placed simply on this background, in a “link page” style. The panorama template displays your cover image full screen (including on mobile, where it appears with a slight fade behind a gradient of your brand color at the top of the page); the content is placed in a clear card and, on computer, a large QR code (in your campaign’s QR color) is displayed on the photo to open the page on their phone.

All templates (classic, card, minimal, full color, panorama) are available on all plans, Basic included, as soon as your subscription or trial is active. The team can also assign a specific template to an Account.

On all plans, you can personalize funnel messages (question, thank you, etc.), in your languages (FR/EN/ES). Otherwise, the default translated texts apply.

The Video testimonial funnel (the QR code of type social_proof) works via email link: on scan, the customer enters their email and checks the consent box (promotional use rights), then receives a personal recording link valid for 24 hours (conditions are recalled in the email). From this link, they choose happy / unhappy, then record their video directly in the browser: 3-2-1 countdown, 2 minutes maximum (automatic stop), playback and ability to restart before sending (progress bar). As long as the link is valid, a new recording replaces the previous one. After sending, a happy customer is directed to your review platforms page; an unhappy customer to the private feedback form of the simple funnel. You are notified by notification and, if the Location option is enabled, by email. The video is encoded server-side and a thumbnail is generated. This feature is reserved for the Max plan.

Received videos are grouped in the dashboard, menu Reviews & campaigns > Video testimonials (/dashboard/testimonials). You watch each video, see the author, Business/Location, date and status (ready, processing, pending, failed), with a filter by Business. For each testimonial you can download the video or permanently delete it (the recording and files are removed). Videos are never public: playback goes through an authenticated stream, reserved to the Account owner. The menu entry only appears if your plan includes video testimonials (Max).

You can integrate a widget (code snippet) on your own site to collect feedback directly. The dashboard’s “Widget” page lists your widgets and lets you create several, one per funnel, within your plan’s limit (3 on Basic, 10 on Pro, 50 on Max); each one can be edited, enabled or disabled and deleted from the list, with its code to copy. When creating or editing a widget you can give it a name and a short description (optional) to recognize it in the list, for example “Link in bio page” or “Site footer”; without a name, the list shows the funnel concerned. You also choose the widget language (French, English or Spanish): the language the funnel is displayed in on your site, the visitor keeping the switcher to change it; on a multilingual site, add data-lang="en" (or "es", "fr") to the script tag of each page to force its language. Authorized sites are defined for each widget: you choose the contact point and QR code concerned (full form, happy/sad, platforms page or video testimonial - for video, the widget captures the email and consent, and the recording then happens from the personal link received by email), then the list of sites authorized to embed it; statistics distinguish the “embed” source. The frame adjusts itself to the funnel height (no inner scrollbar), and the code does nothing on a site outside the list or when the widget is disabled: never a visible error on your site.

Inside the widget, the funnel behaves like a block of your site, not like a RepOtz page: the share button shares the address of your page (the one holding the widget), the “Show the QR” button and the RepOtz mention are not displayed, “Save” (the contact card) opens in a new tab, and the links to your platforms open in a new tab too. By default the frame fills the window and the funnel centres itself on its coloured background - the expected look of a “link in bio” or dedicated review page. If your widget lives in the middle of a page, among other content, add data-fill="content" to the script tag of your code: the frame is then exactly as tall as the funnel, and whatever shows around it is your page, yours to style.

For each new review, you can receive an email notification (based on Location settings) and a real-time alert, with a reinforced alert for low ratings.

Public forms (full form funnel, testimonial email page) are protected by an invisible captcha (a visible challenge only appears if in doubt) and by IP address limitation. The simple funnel (a single happy / unhappy tap) does not display a captcha - a challenge would be disproportionate for a single tap - and relies on IP address limitation.

Your public collection pages work as long as your Account has an active subscription or ongoing trial. When this is no longer the case (trial ended without subscription, subscription expired or cancelled, Account deactivated after repeated non-payment), they stop collecting and display an unavailability page in your colors: your logo and your Business name, a message “Service temporarily unavailable” and an invitation to contact you directly - without ever mentioning RepOtz or a payment issue, to avoid discrediting you. No email address appears: the only one RepOtz has here is the Account owner’s login email, which should not be published on a page open to all. On your side, you keep access to your dashboard and the regularization path: the “Reactivate this plan” button on the Billing page puts everything back online as soon as the subscription is confirmed. In case of simple recurring payment failure, your pages remain online during the dunning period.

Different case: if a campaign has been deleted (or its Business/Location), its old shared links display the same page in your colors but with the message “This campaign no longer exists” (deleted or moved, with an invitation to contact you for the new link) - and not the inactive service message, reserved for Accounts without active subscription and for paused QR codes or Locations.

Note: The continuity of public pages and behavior in case of non-payment are managed in a controlled way.

Q. Can an unhappy customer still post a public review? A. Yes, always. The funnel first highlights private feedback for dissatisfaction (so you can respond), but each thank you page offers the option to leave a public review anyway. Conversely, a satisfied customer can also choose to write to you privately. RepOtz never filters reviews based on rating (compliant with Google and FTC rules: no “review gating”).

Q. What language does the page display in for my customer? A. In their browser’s language (FR/EN/ES), with a selector to change.

Q. Is the widget on my site included in my plan? A. Yes, on all plans (Basic, Pro and Max), as soon as your subscription or trial is active. Only the number of widgets varies (3 on Basic, 10 on Pro, 50 on Max).

Q. Are form templates and custom texts reserved for a plan? A. No. They are included on all plans. Features reserved for a plan are those with real cost: video testimonials (Max), sending review requests by email (Pro and Max) and custom domain (Max).

Q. What does my customer see if my subscription is suspended? A. A neutral page inviting them to contact you, with no mention of RepOtz or payment.
